In the heart of Modesto, many outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the thrill of exploring local trails and farmland on their ATVs, UTVs, and side-by-sides. Whether you’ve upgraded to a newer model or simply no longer use your trusty vehicle, consider donating it to Gear Up Give Back. Your generous contribution can help improve the lives of individuals and families in your community, providing them with access to recreational opportunities and vital resources.
Many donors, like you, choose to part with their well-loved machines—such as a Honda FourTrax or a Polaris RZR—after years of adventures. Each vehicle, regardless of its condition, has the potential to make a significant impact. By donating, you’re not only clearing space in your garage but also facilitating experiences that can create cherished memories for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

How pickup works
At Gear Up Give Back, we make the donation process simple and straightforward. Our team will arrange for pickup of your ATV, UTV, or side-by-side, typically using a small flatbed or trailer for transport. If your vehicle is off-road only and lacks a title, we will guide you through the process of providing a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and bill of sale. We understand that many of these vehicles are commonly found on farms, ranches, and hunting cabins, so whether your vehicle is parked on your property or in a storage lot, we’ll coordinate logistics to ensure a seamless pickup. Our goal is to make the donation experience easy, allowing you to focus on the impact your contribution will have.
What drives donation value
The value of your donated ATV, UTV, or side-by-side is influenced by several factors. For four-stroke ATVs, the hours of usage often weigh more heavily than mileage, so well-maintained vehicles with service records can command a premium. Models like the Polaris RZR or Can-Am UTVs tend to hold strong resale values on the used market. However, any dents, plastic fade, or signs of wear may affect the final donation value. Even non-running units can still have positive parts value, enhancing the overall donation impact. Ultimately, the better condition your vehicle is in, the more it can support those in need.

Modesto specifics
Modesto residents should be aware that California DMV rules for off-road vehicles can differ from standard titling requirements. For ATVs and UTVs primarily used off-road, a title may not be necessary, allowing for a bill of sale to suffice for donation. Ensure you have all relevant documentation ready, including the vehicle's VIN or engine number, to facilitate a smooth donation process with Gear Up Give Back.
